But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33

Paci princess

A few weeks ago - I decided it was finally time to bite the bullet and get rid of the paci forever. Chloe is talking so much - I was afraid she would develop a lisp or something worse and she had begun waking up several times a night again screaming for her paci. Getting up with one child is enough at night! So, we talked about how the Paci Princess was going to come and take the pacis to the babies for about a week and Saturday morning we made a big deal about it. We decorated an envelope with finger painting and stickers, then collected all the pacis and put them in the mailbox. Mommy and Chloe went inside to get dressed and Daddy - AKA Paci Princess - put a present in the box - complete with a big Dora balloon. We went back out and found the stuff the Paci Princess left. It went a lot better than I expected - Chloe has hardly mentioned the pacis at all ever since. There were a few moments those first few days but we just reminded her that the paci princess gave them to the babies and she was fine. We did have a few days without naps but nighttime was pretty easy - she was probably exhausted from no naps. So, maybe I should've done this awhile ago :). Ellie won't take a pacifier so we won't be fighting this battle again!
