Chloe had her one year old check up last Wenesday and all went well. Here are her stats:
weight 19.4 (20 %)
height 29 3/4 (55%)
head 17 3/4 (50%)
She passed all of her "tests" at the dr great and Dr. Diaz was very impressed that she's off the bottle and onto a sippy cup - thankfully this happenned on Monday before our wednesday appt. Before then, Chloe mostly played and chewed on the sippy cup but after trying just about every kind made - she just had an "a-ha" moment and took to the munchkin ones. I have quite the collection of sippy cups now so I'm hoping that in a few weeks when she really gets the hang of it -she'll drink out of any of them.
So while her other measurements have been all over the place - our sweet little pumpkin is holding strong in the 20% of weight. Some benefits of having a tiny child:
- Chloe is still using her infant car seat/carrier - she's technically 3/4 inch over the height requirement but she can be in it until 22 pounds. ( Before you call me a bad mom - I ordered her new car seat over a month ago but the one I decided was the best for our little pumpkin is on back order - but should be shipped soon - 1st of July - hopefully she won't gain 3 pounds before then) I think we're pretty safe :) But it is nice that we can still switch this seat from car to car very easily
-Chloe can still wear some of her 6 month and lots of her 9 month clothes! Strangely she has some dreases that are 18 months and fit - strange world of baby clothes :)
- People usually assume that she's younger because of her size and are amazed at her abilities
- Best of all- she's still little enough to be carried around like a litle baby sometimes when Mommy is feeling very sentimental about her little girl being 1 already!
